This year’s Chinese New Year Celebration Concert at MCC could not be held due to pandemic restrictions. So, rather than MCC hosting the concert at the Republic Hall, the concert is coming directly to you.
MCC, in conjunction with the Chinese Cultural Centre in Malta, is broadcasting the opening ceremony of the online cultural activities being held to celebrate the 2021 Chinese New Year – the Year of the Ox.
The opening ceremony features grand performances by the exceptional China National Traditional Orchestra, Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Tara Schevchenko National Opera, and Ballet Theatre of Ukraine amongst many others.

His Excellency, Mr. Hu Heping, Minister of Culture and Tourism of China, and Mr. Shen Haixiong, Director of China Media Group will also deliver a speech.
