Pictures at an Exhibition; Family Concert with the MPO

PICTURES AT AN EXHIBITION in collaboration with St. Clare College, Boys’ Secondary School, Gzira

Mussorgsky’s stimulating Pictures at an Exhibition is the next concert in the series of Concerts for Schools that the MPO is presenting this season.

The stimulating visuals and the set used for this production are the result of a fruithful collaboration between visual artist Derek Nice and students from Gzira Boys’ Secondary. The project has been underway since October 2011, and comes to full fruition at the Mediterranean Conference Centre, in a magnificient presentation of one of the most visually stimulating musical compositions.

The MPO will be under the direction of Christopher Muscat. Presentation and stage direction will be in the hands of Sarah Spiteri.
