The show will take place at the Mediterranean Conference Centre in Valletta.  The host of the show is former Malta Eurovision Song Contest presenter Elaine Saliba.  The entertainment will be provided by Destiny Chukunyere, 2015 JESC winner in Sofia Bulgaria.

Twenty acts will compete for the chance to represent Malta in the 14th edition of Junior Eurovision song contest that for the second time will be hosted in Valletta, Malta.

The European Broadcasting Union and Public Broadcasting Services Ltd are delighted to announce that Junior Eurovision 2016 will take place this November 20th in Malta.

PBS will host this year’s event in the capital city, Valletta, after being offered the chance to organise it following Destiny Chukunyere’s victory at the 2015 contest in Sofia, Bulgaria.

Junior Eurovision 2016 will see several changes to the format, following intense work by the EBU, the contest’s Steering Group, and PBS as host broadcaster. Notably, the event will take place this year on the afternoon of Sunday 20 November, and will be held across several locations around Valletta.
