Children love to live in a world of dreams, brimming with imagination, colourful stories and magical sounds. This is what underlies the great success of our annual Family Fanfare Concerts. In 1873 Modest Mussorgsky composed a musical depiction of an exhibition of pictures by painter Viktor Hartmann and in 2017 students from the Johann Strauss School of Music will be composing their own musical soundscapes on emotive pictures.

The orchestral performances of these compositions will bring these pictures to life and our young audiences are invited to join us on this magical journey that inhabits the enchanting world of stories, pictures and sounds.

This concert is being held in aid of Appoġġ Children’s Fund.
