DESCRIPTION:It’s February 2022 and once again\, we are back in the MCC. This time The Gozo Youth Orchestra in collaboration with 7SPP bring you our latest project. From The BEATLES to U2\, is a rock orchestral tribute to the music of two rock music giants. Once again\, the orchestra will be under the baton of Mro. Joseph Grech\, our esteemed Musical Director. He will be joined on stage by Gozo’s finest Cash & Band. The hugely talented guest line-up features Keith Anthony\, Sarah Bonnici\, Dorothy Bezzina\, Chris Grech\, Francesco Nicodeme\, Neville Refalo\, Kurt Cassar and the TBU2 Choir.\n\nFrom The BEATLES to U2 is our fourth round of rock orchestral concerts. This is our fourth time to play the MCC. Our three previous productions Dark Side over Valletta\, QUEEN meets COLDPLAY and Not Just . . . The Wall were special nights and both played to appreciative audiences and all SOLD OUT. We are once again looking forward to bringing something special to this wonderful venue.\n\nThe online box office is now open and so it just remains for you to buy a ticket and join us for another special experience. DESCRIPTION:Matilda The Musical\, the multi-award-winning musical adapted from the incomparable children’s novel by Roald Dahl\, will now be staged between 16th and 30th April 2022. \nTouted as ‘easily the standout musical of the decade’ by the UK’s Sunday Times\, and winning more than 90 international awards including 23 for Best Musical\, Matilda The Musical is the timeless story of an extraordinary little girl who\, armed with a vivid imagination and a sharp mind\, dares to take a stand and change her own destiny. \nWith its script by Dennis Kelly and original songs by Tim Minchin\, the show was premiered by the Royal Shakespeare Company in Stratford-upon-Avon in November 2010\, before transferring to London’s West End where it continues to delight audiences both young and old today. \nMatilda The Musical has also enjoyed sell-out runs around the world\, including on Broadway\, and tours of Australia\, New Zealand\, the US\, the UK and Ireland. It has even had a non-English language production in Seoul\, South Korea.
